High Holy Days Appeal

Temple Beth Abraham stained glass windowLast year, our Holy Days ended with the horror of October 7th. As a community, we gathered to mourn those lost, felt the horror for the hostages, and welcomed the survivors. It has been quite a difficult year with the rise of antisemitism and the present conflict in Israel. Yet, through our resolve, our resilience has shone through. We have gathered to celebrate life. On Shabbat we watched as 13-year-olds became adults at their Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies, yelled mazel tov at weddings, and we celebrated anniversaries and birthdays. Our congregation grew in numbers, and we all grew in spirit as we faced the world.

Our TBA programming has provided a valuable human connection when we most needed it. We stand taller because of our strength of community. Each member makes the synagogue a thriving, vibrant community, one that inspires learning, deepens friendships, nourishes the soul, and makes prayer meaningful at just the right time. We are all stronger because of your membership and support.May we see peace in the coming year.

Our Annual High Holy Day Appeal is our largest fundraiser. As fellow congregants, we hope every member will donate at a level that both fits their budget and will help TBA remain strong.

Please support TBA today and help secure our future by contributing.

Donation Information

You can donate to one or both of the listed funds.

TBA General Fund

The TBA General Fund was established to accept donations that will directly impact the General Budget of the congregation. Donations to this fund support TBA’s day-to-day operations including the programs of Bet Sefer, Gan Avraham, synagogue salaries, and buildings and grounds, membership outreach, and our efforts in Tikkun Olam, Adult Education, and religious observance programs.

Leonard Quittman Endowment Fund

The Leonard Quittman Endowment Fund was established in 1976 to ensure the long-term financial health and stability of TBA. It is funded primarily through the annual High Holy Day Appeal, bequests and special lifetime gifts. This fund is administered by the Board of Trustees and all money is held separately from the general accounts of TBA. The Endowment Fund historically is managed for the synagogue’s financial future and provides income that can be made available to fund special initiatives, especially those directed at the congregation’s long-term growth and stability, meet unforeseen emergencies, and support the synagogue’s current needs. This fund was renamed in 2003 to honor Leonard Quittman (of blessed memory) for his tireless efforts in creating this fund to ensure that TBA survived for future generations.
