Weekly Text Study with Rabbi Bloom

Every Wednesday at 9:00am Woodminster Café, Woodminster Lane at the Corner of Joaquin Miller and Mountain Boulevard

In this class we will continue looking at the weekly parasha in order to gain different understandings of the words and their historical context.

What did the ancient sages and commentators say about the passages? Can it be applied to modern life? All skill levels, abilities and desires are welcomed.

Rosh Chodesh Celebrations

This group meets monthly on the Monday closest to the Rosh Chodesh-9:30am to 11:30am. Contact Debbie Spangler for locations as we meet at members’ homes on a rotating basis.

Learn on Sunday mornings with Ken Cohen

Ken will be teaching a class entitled Bible Stories Your Bubbe Never Told You

Sure to be a fun and popular class.  We are meeting on Sunday mornings from 10-12 pm in the TBA Chapel.  Cost is $15 per class or $90 for the series.  The dates are:

Alef Bet Class with Susan Simon

Designed for adults who want to learn to decode Hebrew and be able to follow along in the siddur.  Class will meet for 8 weeks starting on March 1st.  By the end of the class all students will be able to decode Hebrew slowly and will have a good foundation for further learning in Hebrew.  Classes will meet in the TBA Library starting at 10:30 am and will last about an hour each week.  Cost is $54 for non-members, plus the cost of the book.  TBA members only have to pay for the textbook.  To sign up, contact

Intro to Judaism with Rabbi Bloom

This class is designed both for those looking into converting to Judaism and anyone who just wants to learn a bit more.  It meets on Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm in the Baum Youth Service.  Feel free to just show up – no cost or reservations needed.  No class on February 18th, March 4th.  The last class is on March 25th.  Feel free to drop in and learn!

Wasserman Speaker

Our Wasserman Fund is proud to present Dumisani Washington, a pastor, composer, author and music teacher in Northern California.  He is a strong supporter of and advocate of Israel.  He will talk about his passion during services on Saturday, March 7th.  Come and hear what is sure to be a fascinating talk.
