IMPORTANT Health Protocols and Safety Info: A MUST Read

Caring for Each Other:

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We have a wonderful, very large and well-ventilated room. Our many open, big glass doors in the room give us a lot of cool, fresh air. They are separated by gating from the Kindergym equipment. We will have the heaters on when desired.

Our classes are only as wonderful as they are safe, in both the physical and emotional sense. I ask that every adult parent or caregiver bringing their Kindergym toddler to class to be actively observing them as they climb and as they learn to share toys as is appropriate to their age. This involves close parent/caregiver attention and understanding that pulling toys is NOT a “bad thing” but instead an opportunity for the adults to acknowledge their child’s desire and frustration. We adults get to “use our words” to support.

Our Health and Safety Protocols are the following for the Winter Session 2022:

Adults will need to wear masks at all times!

ALL Adults (Parents and Caregivers) will need to email me their proof of FULL VACCINATION when I request, as part of the SignUp process.

As soon as entering the Temple Beth Abraham building into the Lobby, every adult will need sign in and to answer our same, pre-prepared questionnaire with 3 health questions before entering the Kindergym Room.

Parents who have signed up will
shortly be emailed a Temple Beth Abraham Waiver, to be read, signed and emailed back to me in a near future date-as soon as we know when.

Anyone who shows signs of ill-health must leave right away and contact me before returning.

Parents/Caregivers are here with One Adult/One Child ONLY! (No infants or older siblings may attend)

All children must be age one or older AND still be Under age 3 before April 2022 and due to their age they do NOT need to wear masks but can do so if they choose.

All of us want to make new friends. To best enjoy our great space and the others in it, I ask that you remember to stay close by to your child, undistracted by cellphone use.

CELLPHONE USE: None in the Kindergym Room!

NO texting, calls, or ringers ringing in the Kindergym room!!!

If you need to make or answer a very important call, you must take your child to the Lobby with you. You will need to leave the building to answer a phone call if you wish to take your mask off!

We truly appreciate your loving, involved presence.

ILLNESS: Children with coughs, fevers, and runny noses may NOT not attend class until following the CDC protocols for returning. Please DO NOT come into the building if you or your child has ANY signs of illness.

Adults must have the flu shot in addition to the anti-Covid vaccination(s). Children must be vaccinated as always per the normal childhood schedule required by their pediatrician.

NO OUTSIDE FOOD: We are a caring community and concerned for everyone’s safety. We are going to be aware of not bringing in food as there is no removal of masks for adults. One and Two year olds need to be fed BEFORE entering and AFTER leaving the building. No food in the Lobby or Kindergym Room.

FOOTWEAR: NO SHOES! Please come prepared to take off your child’s shoes and socks- and your shoes too. This means safer play and better balance!

POTTY LEARNING: Since this is a process that evolves over time, children are encouraged to listen to their own rhythms. However, as a safety and cleanliness concern, your Ones and Twos in underwear should be brought to the bathroom to “try” when they arrive and be monitored by their parents/caregivers for signs of need to revisit the toilet during class.

PLEASE alert me as you come into the Kindergym Room if your child is potty learning and in underwear when you come into the classroom!

MAKEUP POLICY: We will do our best to add several Sunday or afternoon classes for makeups when the Winter Session near the end of March. We cannot guarantee that makeups will be possible due to size and safety concerns for those classes.

SIBLINGS: I wish we could accommodate more than ONE child to ONE adult but we believe that for safety and health this policy must continue for the time being.

I look forward to sharing the pleasure of being part of our humming, exciting and connecting classes!!
